CZ BOOKSHOP BIKE BOOK RECS
Winter is a great time to read since most of us are not cycling in the snow. At Cyclista Zine, we make a lot of reading recommendations for folks to educate themselves on mobility justice, urbanism, and cycling. It’s not always easy to consolidate them or gather where to best buy books considering we are not fans of Amazon. We want to support locally owned bookshops, so much that I found using Bookshop a great place to share. Bookshop allows me to share my all my reading recommendations that would link back to indie book shops instead of Amazon and make shopping from your local book shop easier too. Hop on over to the CZ account at Bookshop and maybe purchase a few for your pleasure or to gift the cycling enthusiast in your life.
If you have any book recommendations in these categories, particularly written by women, BIPOC, or WTF folks, send them my way and I’ll add them to the list!
Don’t know which books to start reading? Here are some of my top favorite books from my lists to get you started on your reading
Bicycle / Race: Transportation, Culture, & Resistance
Back in the Frame: Cycling, Belonging and Finding Joy on a Bike
Bikequity: Money, Class, and Bicycling
Mobility Justice: The Politics of Movement in an Age of Extremes
