Issue Four “Unfiltered”

Have you picked up a copy of “Unfiltered’ yet 📕 If you’re wondering what this issue is about here’s what you need to know.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This issue is a collaboration of unfiltered thoughts written by radical women, neurodivergent, fat, queer, trans and non binary people sharing their angst, knowledge, art, poetry, ideas & guides 🗒✏️⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The cognitive impacts of having invisible conditions or being invisible in spaces, like cycling, have implications not just in representation but how we struggle to take up space in the physical world and on our bikes.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Unfiltered, challenges the notions of whether bikes can help us with the symptoms of struggling mental health conditions, or whether they can be used as a tool to help us challenge our invisible struggles.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What we know from this issue is that bikes are never a solution for 'fixing' anything, but a tool. Safe spaces in cycling also mean we also show up and provide mutual aid for each others care.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
10% of zine sales will go to The Trevor Project, a leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning (LGBTQ) young people under 25.⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
